Fresh Island 2017 announce Young Thug, Giggs and more

Young Thug, Giggs and Mike Skinner & Murkage present TONGA will jet to Croatia this July to perform on the beach for Fresh Island 2017. The new additions join an already impressive line up of international superstars including Rae Sremmurd, Sean Paul, Krept & Konan, Lady Leshurr and many more. Taking place 11th – 13th July 2017, Fresh Island takes over the open air clubs on Zrce beach for a sun-soaked week of hip-hop, grime and r&b. Young Thug’s distinctive vocal performances and unpredictability have made him one of the hip-hop’s most exciting personas, awarding him collaborations with Drake, Chance The Rapper, Jamie xx, Calvin Harris and many more. Armed with a catalog of hit tracks like ‘Stoner‘, ‘Check‘, ‘Best Friend‘ and ‘Pick Up the Phone‘ and his own label YSL, the Atlanta rapper will be unmissable at Fresh Island 2017.

Giggs is also on board for Fresh Island 2017. The Londoner’s critically acclaimed fourth album Landlord, last year secured him as one of the UK’s most revered MCs and fresh from appearing as lead collaborator on Drake’s More Life, Giggs is now a tour de force on both sides of the Atlantic.

Mike Skinner & Manchester’s Murkage bring their party bass machine TONGA to Zrce beach this July. Renowned for their wild party nights across the UK, TONGA will deliver some seriously banging tunes for the whole festival to get down to.

Presenting Fresh Island 2017 will be Maya Jama, returning for her fourth festival the Rinse DJ and MTV presenter will be guiding Fresh Islanders through what is shaping up to be another unmissable year.

Fresh Island will take over the open air clubs of Aquarius, Kalypso, Papaya and Noa on Zrce beach the week of July 11th – 13th against the stunning backdrop of the Adriatic coast. Musical performances take place at night 11th – 13th along with boat parties and pool parties during the day and pre & after parties throughout the rest of the week.

The festival has rapidly become one of the most anticipated international hip-hop events of the year and over the years has attracted visitors from all over the world to witness performances from the likes of Snoop Dogg, Nas, Rick Ross, Mobb Deep, Chris Brown, Redman & Method Man, Eve, Action Bronson, Stormzy, JME and many more.
