Jeff Staple and Nike confirm the impromptu release of undoubtedly one of the hottest collaborations of the year. Yes, even after the mammoth collection between Virgil Abloh’s Off-White and Nike, the Staple Pigeon is set to rival the hype.
2005 was the first collaboration between the brands, which took the Nike SB silhouette and fused it with hues of grey. Gaining iconic sneaker status, the pair is set to cost you a fair bit (to say the least) to be part of your arsenal. The 2017 rendition sees an all black upper of nubuck and waterproof leather, accompanied with the original padded tongue that sit on the reworked ‘Pigeon’ coloured sole.
The brand have taken it back to it’s routes, opening a one day pop-up in New York doors down from the original release. Unfortunately, police brought the camp-out to a halt earlier on today, leaving many finding other routes to get their hands on a pair.
The Staple x Nike SB “Black Pigeon” drop worldwide Saturday 11th November.
