New Films In UK Cinemas: 13th April – 19th April

Rampage (Friday 13th April)
While the age of the movie star is slowly becoming a thing of the past, we still have a few around who can indeed market a film and entice people to see it just on their name alone. Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson is one of them. He is one of the biggest movie stars working today and he now has a new film coming out called Rampage.

Naomie Harris and Jeffrey Dean Morgan star alongside Dwayne Johnson. Johnson plays the lead character of David Okoye in the film which is loosely based on the video game series of the same name. Rampage centres on David, a primatologist who has to team-up with an albino gorilla called George, which has grown into a humongous size after a rogue experiment, in order to stop a monster invasion.
Yes, Rampage sounds incredibly dumb from that premise but if the film is entertaining and knows what it is then it should be a fun watch. Just do not expect to see one of the best films of 2018.
Truth or Dare (Friday 13th April)
While A Quiet Place seems to be the horror film that is getting all the attention at this moment in time, we should not forget that another horror film is available to see in UK cinemas. Indeed, Truth or Dare has just been released and it is a film which will hopefully continue the good run of horror films we have received in recent times. The story of Truth or Dare focuses on a group of college students who travel to Mexico before graduation. While they are there, they play a seemingly harmless game of truth or dare which then awakens a demon and the game becomes a matter of life or death.
