Nike will be hosting creative sessions on 9th April to 12th April in London, where they’re inviting participants to design and submit their very own concept for a London Air Max based on existing Air Max icons. A shoe designed for the city, by the city. The panel lineup includes grime legend and BBK-front man, Skepta, Nike Senior Design Director Nate Jobe, Courtney Daily who is Nike VP Creative Director of Colour Design and lastly streetwear designer Alexandra Hackett.
This panel of experts will be selecting three Air Max designs, created by young Londoners during the sneaker design sessions, to feature on the global Nike: ON AIR voting hub – where the world will decide which design best represents London. The winning Air Max will be created by Nike at a future date, and the designer of the shoe will travel to the Nike campus in Oregon to meet members of the product team and turn their imagination into reality.
