Just over a week ago, Jamz Supernova hosted the first Future Bounce event of 2017 in Dalston’s Birthdays club. With the likes of Yaz Beatz, ROM, Star Slinger, and Jamz Supernova herself on the line-up I knew there was a night of great music ahead of me.
Created as a platform for producers of future and other alternative styles of music the DJs managed to hold the crowd despite playing a variety of future sounds. From RnB and Neo-Soul to Afro-house and Jersey Club refixes of Grime songs there was definitely something for of everyone at Future Bounce.
In terms of the DJs, Jamz picked some of the most captivating in the game. Every single member of the lineup was dancing along to their song selection and the vibes were duly reciprocated by the crowd.
Although all the sets fully banged, I have to pick out two highlights. Firstly, Jamz’ ability to give us a taste of a variety of Future genres. This was only topped by ROM taking me way back by dropping Omarion’s Ice Box mid set.
If you’re wondering when your next opportunity to experience a Future Bounce Party will be, Jamz Supernova recently announced a teaming up with Peckham Rye Fest with the line-up including the acclaimed Addison Groove and Radar Radio’s Martha. You can get your tickets here.
