If your parents partied in the ’80s like mine, then there’s a high chance you listened to the legendary R&B and soul band, Shalamar. Shalamar was one of the pioneers of ’80s dance music and they were instrumental in developing the flamboyant fashion scene that was seen in the ’80s dance culture. Next month the trio will be touring the UK to celebrate 35-years since the release of their most successful album, Friends, that featured classic soul tracks like “A Night to Remember”, “Friends”, “There it Is” and much more. The band will be performing at The Clapham Grand on December 1st and any soul fan would be silly not to attend. You can grab tickets and find more info here.
